Families and educators! The Schack Art Center is excited to host Homeschool Art Day!
Join us for 4 unique sessions filled with an interactive art tour and lessons. Homeschool Art Day is designed to serve homeschools, co-op groups, and individual families, as well as locally attending cyberschool students. Projects and themes are accessible to students from Kindergarten-High School.
Each program offers an engaging theme and focuses on the enhancement of academic curriculum highlighting literacy, observation, critical thinking, communication, and social skill development. This program offers a great opportunity for interaction between different homeschool groups in a creative setting.
Sessions will start with an interactive, guided tour of the current art on exhibition and an opportunity to watch the glass blowers create in the hot shop. The interactive tour will be followed by artmaking that focuses on a different art medium and technique each month.
Cost is $10/student
Space is limited to 20 participants; please register early.
